Steel Horizons,
published by Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, promoted the use of steel in various industrial
applications. The July issue featured four pages of
poster designs that carried patriotic messages like
Remember Pearl Harbor and More Production.
The article discussed the important role of incentive
posters in the workplace. Both magazines and posters
worked to build morale, increase production, encourage
recycling, and sell war bonds.
This issue also included a
portrait of General Douglas MacArthur, suitable for
framing, after an oil painting by Jack Moranz.
