Much of the credit for
this finding aid belongs to Mrs. Augusta Levy Warshaw, who gave
generously of her time and information about her husband. She knows
better than anyone the dedication and energy that went into creating
this collection.
Thanks are also due each
of the volunteers who have donated time to re-housing portions of the
Warshaw Collection. Anne Albertson, Herbert Aldrich, David Backer, Ann
Behning, Joanne Davies, Ann Kuebler, Ray Mellet, Grace Meyer, Bernard
Radack, and Jack Vaughan spent many hours doing the interesting and
not-so-interesting aspects of processing a collection. Jennifer Songster spent time away from school to process and prepare
finding aids for the stereographs found in the collection. I wish to
express my appreciation for her time and efforts. Maurita Baldock
processed large portions of the oversize materials. Her patience, strong
interest, sound judgment and commitment to the materials prevailed.
Maurita turned a daunting task into a rewarding accomplishment. I would
